Contemporary architecture continues to inform my practice. I am inspired by clean lines and plain, simple forms. Materiality is important: I use porcelain for its whiteness and its smooth surface finish. The work is unglazed and polished which gives an ethereal quality and lightness to my minimalist forms. The pieces are carefully placed together to give a sense of calm and balance. Some of my work is pierced and connected by glass or metal reflecting my interest in architectural form.
