Transition showcases a diverse and exciting range of work which is the result of many years of dedicated practice. The collective,  consisting of professional artists, designers, tutors, writers, editors and researchers, is a uniquely talented group of established makers from diverse disciplines including: ceramics, textiles, basketry, glass, metal and jewellery. Everyone in the collective is an MA postgraduate from the University for the Creative Arts.

Our Vision:

To promote conceptual, investigative and innovative craft and design. To apply technical experimentation  in and between  our fields or work and to provide mutual  help and support.

 

Our Objectives:

To help the public to appreciate the design  and technical skills involved in hand-made, hand-crafted works. To encourage quality  and excellence amongst members and to offer members an opportunity to develop their commerciality.

From 'high-profile' exhibitions to short term pop-up shops, Transition members have a broad skillset and valuable experience leading activities, events  and research.
